Between the 9th and 10th of October 2025, the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity and innovation as it hosted its first-ever Hackathon, a thrilling collaboration between VUT, Geekulcha, and the VUT Computer Sciences Club. The atmosphere buzzed with energy as bright young minds came together to solve real-world problems through technology, teamwork, and relentless determination.
Scholar Titans was proud to be part of this groundbreaking event, stepping in as a partner, sending one of its mentors, who joined a team of field experts serving as Technical Mentors. Together, they guided participants, interviewed teams, and offered valuable recommendations before they faced the judges. Alongside them, the Computer Club members showed extraordinary commitment, working tirelessly through the night to assist teams in refining their prototypes and sharpening their presentations.
After an intense 48 hours of brainstorming, coding, and collaboration, The atmosphere was filled with passion and purpose as lines of code turned into solutions with real impact. By the time they faced the judges, innovation had taken form and three teams stood out for their creativity, teamwork, and technical brilliance.

In recognition of their achievements, Each of these teams walked away with exciting prizes from Geekulcha and NEDBANK, along with Scholar Titans awarding them with free web hosting and web development services, allowing them to expand their projects beyond the hackathon.
This event was more than a competition, it was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the future of technology. For Scholar Titans, being part of this milestone represented another step forward in our ongoing mission to bridge the gap between learning and innovation.
